Time, research and experience has gone into the development of PAWS'N'LEARN. The activities are designed to be of value in every day family life. Above all, training methods are fun for both family and dog. All family members, especially children are very welcome at classes.

PAWS'N'LEARN is a service which offers support and advice in between sessions, to ensure that the individual training needs of each family and dog can be met. Kind, motivational, Tellington TTouch and Clicker Training methods are used in a relaxed, happy atmosphere.

 

Choke chains, pinch collars, electronic collars and high pitched alarms are on our list of banned equipment and are not used.
 

Marie Miller TTouch P3 teaches One Day & Weekend  Tellington TTouch Workshops for those who would like to learn to learn more about Tellington TTouch and the wonderful tools which can be added to training, working and living with Comapnion Animals.

Tellington TTouch is a method of working with animals without fear or force. It combines a form of body work with balancing and confidence building ground work exercises, which help to release tension from the body. This helps to improve mental, physical and emotional balance, opening up new channels of trust and communication, bringing an enhanced ability to learn and co-operate. TTouch helps to reduce stress related, excitable and reactive behaviour. TTouch can also be a beneficial therapy in addition to..... not instead of ..... medical treatment to ease discomfort caused by some physical injuries or conditions. Clients are seen on a One to One basis by appointment.

 

Training Workshops
 
Practical when there is a distance to travel or for those who want something more intensive. One Day Workshops can be planned for small groups of up to six handlers.

 

Private Lessons
 
Private lessons can be arranged on request for those who prefer one to one training.

 

Rehabilitation Training

 

Group classes are not a suitable environment for dogs with stress related and aggression issues. These cases are seen a one to one basis. Advice and Rehabilitation Training is available, using safe and relationship building TTouch methods.  The first session is normally one to two hours long. Follow up sessions are available and offer support to follow through the Rehabilitation Training Programme. If neccessary, progressing to work with experienced socialising dogs. It is essential to be aware of/rule out any underlying medical conditions which could contribute to the problems you may be experiencing with your dog. Your dog will therefore require a full veterinary check-up prior to the initial appointment.
